About

If you’ve passed through downtown Huntsville in the last few weeks, you may have noticed the striking black awning that has been added at 8 Main Street. Decorated on Main may look like a new addition to the town’s landscape. But, in fact, the shop is an updated iteration of one of Huntsville’s favourite boutiques, Saturday Afternoons, which has been owned by Carrie Miller since 2011.

Miller decided to move away from the franchise model and rename the store to make it truly her own. The shop is staffed by the same familiar faces that clients have come to know and appreciate over the years – Miller’s mother Maureen Coombs, Pat Pfrimmer and Susanne Payne.

“For many of our customers, the store is about more than shopping,” says Miller. “It’s a familiar and comfortable place to be social and visit as well as find that perfect piece to update your living space or add a little extra finesse to your outfit.”

Miller carefully curates Decorated on Main’s stylish selection of furniture, clothing, jewellery, décor, personal care and baby items, consistently updating her inventory for the season and to stay on trend, while maintaining her eye for classic elegance. The new name also comes with a stronger social media and online presence. “With the holidays just around the corner, I hope that we see new clients come through our doors for their gift buying and that our established clientele continues to enjoy our selection and our personalized approach.”
